XLI Potter Cup

The XLI Potter Cup is now underway at Real Club de Polo de Barcelona, with some of the world’s best veteran players taking part. Recognised as part of the International Tennis Federation’s tournament calendar, the Potter Cup sees teams representing International Clubs from a number of countries take part in three days of intense competition.

A total of eight teams are fighting to take the crown won by Spain last year. The team of the defending champions is this year comprised by David de Miguel, Javier Sánchez-Vicario, Carlos Costa, Josep Blasi, Santi Tintoré, Francesc Castella, Francisco García, Miquel Puigdevall, Eduardo Osta, Fernando Luna and captain Miguel Mir. Their first round opponents will be the IC Great Britain team, followed in the semifinals by the winners of the first round tie between Italy and Germany. The rest of the draw sees Ireland take on France and Belgium play the United States.

Matches start from Friday to Sunday at 9am and 11am. All information and results from the tournament can be found at the Catalan Tennis Federation website: www.fctennis.cat.
